At the same time, 22.7% of girls and 77.3% of guys in Switzerland regularly play at casinos.
The percentage of female and male players from 2017 to 2024 shows that the “feminization” of gambling continues, and the proportion of people of the stronger and weaker sex among the customers of establishments is gradually decreasing.
Purpose of gambling (reasons)
The reason for slot machines and casinos is one of the most interesting gender differences.
According to a July 31, 2019 study by scientists from Georgetown University and the University of Massachusetts, men “go” to gambling for emotions and money.
As for girls, it’s completely different. When they start gambling, they tend to be in a state of anxiety and depression. American scientists claim that the following factors contribute to women’s involvement in gambling entertainment:
Lifestyle changes such as retirement, divorce or loss of loved ones
Family addiction or abuse within the circle of loved ones
The desire to get away from problems and get rid of stress.
Emotions of the beautiful half of humanity are not as important.
